A bit about me ~

Ever since I can remember, I have created stories. My sister and I would play with stablemate horses, going on adventures involving terrible creatures such as dragons (my super cool birthday gift), large cats (those figurines I spotted in our local Tractor Supply that I just had to get), and hippogriffs (granted, those keychains from Universal were not supposed to be a toy, but c’mon).

As I grew up doing outdoor chores, running cross country, and completing a Classical Christian education, a deep passion for word-craft, history, and art blossomed within me. Running cross country fostered my love for working out and taught me the importance of communication and encouragement. I also started drawing people, wanting to illustrate my characters.

I completed my Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at Full Sail University in 2026. My short story “The Pure and Simple” was published in the Adelaide Magazine, and I edited various works, including a now-published Bible study. I was introduced to the world of video and audio editing, which I greatly enjoyed. I also took some classes from Reformation Bible college, one of which was a Tolkien course that I audited.

I have a certificate in classical drawing and painting earned from 3 years of intensive apprenticeship at Kathy Cook’s Fine Art Atelier. I have completed various art commissions, such as an oil painting of a beloved horse's eye, and detailed graphite illustrations of anatomical diagrams for a book.

I am teaching entry level art in Kathy Cook's Fine Art Atelier, and teaching the art classes at Rafiki Classical Academy for Pre-K through 7th grade. Kids are amazing! They are naturally creative and can learn so much because they are just excited to see what happens and aren’t afraid of “doing it wrong.” This mentality of experimentation and adjustment is a mindset I work to cultivate in everything I do.

On a more personal note, I love challenging myself in different ways. For example, I ran a marathon (26.2 miles) in January of 2025, which I researched and trained for on my own. Then in April of 2026, I completed my first Sprint Triathlon.

Some future goals are to complete and publish a fantasy book series and potentially pursue a Masters in art. I will continue developing my creative writing and art programs, and expanding my portfolio of work.
