Creative Storytelling

This is a 34 week course, structured to be taken as a 1 1/2 hour class once a week during the traditional school year at highschool level.
With a Bachelor's in creative writing, I provide one on one instruction for story crafting and analysis, that will enable students to write sound stories and analyze the stories they consume. With a focus on a classical model, but also leaning into the creative side, this class cultivates analysis of stories that have come before us, learning how to apply those skills in the students own writing as they practice the habit of writing.

Introductory Level Art

This is a 12 week course, structured to be a taken as a 1 hour class once a week during the fall or spring semester of a school year.
With a certificate of fine art from Kathy Cook's atelier, I provide personal instruction to assist students in developing their artistic skills. This course will focus on strenghening the student's drawing skills, introducing the basic elements of art, such as line, shape, texture, form, and value. Students will have daily drawing assignments, with the class time instruction explaining how to think through and execute drawing from life.
